Our destitution project is still providing food and toiletries to over 65 destitute refused asylum seekers who come to us each week for help. The project also provides feminine hygiene products and maternity
assistance including nappies, baby milk and other essential items for the growing number of growing babies
we support. In addition, we give an extra £5 per week to pregnant women right up to the birth of their
babies, when we donate a maternity pack.

Our destitution project relies entirely on the generosity of the people of Bolton.

We need to raise in excess of £600 every week in order to operate this service, and we are not allowed to
access funding from the usual public sector sources, the Lottery or even from local public sector bodies.

If you would like to donate funds to the BRASS Destitution Project, see the "How to help BRASS" section in the main menu. Please include Gift Aid in your cash or standing order donations. A Gift Aid form is also in the "How to help BRASS" section in the main menu.

We are also looking for donations in kind, whether they be in the form of food, clothing, household items or baby items. Please phone BRASS on 01204 397152 before offering larger items, as we will need to ensure that we have adequate storage.
